YEARS AGO I WAS SEEING A COUNSELOR FOR HELP WITH SOME HUGE STRESSORS I WAS GOING THROUGH, AND IT WAS NICE HAVING A SAFE PERSON TO TALK WITH. BUT IT WASN'T UNTIL SHE STARTED A GROUP DBT CLASS THAT TAUGHT ME HOW TO CHANGE MY THOUGHTS AND USE DISTRACTIONS FOR HEALING, THAT I LEARNED HOW TO MAINTAIN MY WELL-BEING. THIS CLASS ALSO GAVE ME AN INSIGHT TO HOW HURTS IN LIFE CAN AFFECT THE WAY PEOPLE SEE THEMSELVES AND HOW NEGATIVE THOUGHTS CAN HAVE DEEP ROOTS WITHIN A PERSONS BRAIN. OVER THE YEARS I HAVE BUILT ON THE FOUNDATION LEARNED IN THE DBT CLASS AND SPENT MORE TIME LEARNING ABOUT MYSELF. I STARTED MAKING FORMS TO FURTHER MY SELF EDUCATION BECAUSE HAVING A NOTEBOOK OF INFORMATION, RESOURCES, AND FORMS HELP ME TO REMEMBER WHICH DISTRACTIONS WORK FOR MY PERSONAL WELL-BEING. THEN I STARTED MAKING ADDITIONAL FORMS TO HELP OTHERS WITH VARIOUS TOPICS THEY MAY BE DEALING WITH - AND I'M NOT FINISHED YET.
